P&P French has invested in equipment designed to efficiently and safely carry out all aspects of tree surgery. It includes:

Mercedes Unimog

Timberwolf tracked chipper

Mercedes Unimog 4x4 dedicated chipping vehicle.

The 170HP machine can chip arisings up to 11” in diameter, so can speedily process large quantities of green waste. On sites that dictate it, we can use the Timberwolf tracked chipper with a 6” diameter capacity.

Spencer 15.5m hoist mounted on a 12 tonne Leyland Vehicle

Provides a safe mobile access platform for situations that permit its use.

In addition we can use the 17metre tracked hoist that can be manoeuvred through a 3’ opening if necessary.

Vermeer Stump Grinder

Our Vermeer 252 Stump Grinder

Capable of grinding any diameter stump to a depth of 12”/30cms below ground level.

With a 12’ Ifor Williams tipping trailer is used for the removal all larger timber.

Full range of equipment

We have a full range of climbing and lowering equipment, which is LOLER tested every six months.

We have a wide range of Stihl chainsaws, with from 12” to 48” bars, capable of safely cutting any size timber.

In addition we have an Alaskan Mill attachment, which enables us to process large butts (up to 48” in diameter) into boards or beams. From these we can produce unique dining or coffee tables. (See our Photos)
